Aurele is a French artist who is the creator of ‘LostDog,’ a traveling art project that has made its way into public spaces and art festivals around the world. The work reflects issues everyone as citizen of the world share and depicts what has been missing from the human spirit. In ‘LostDog CO2’, a large-scale sculpture made of over 1,500 plants was created with the ability to reduce pollution in the air. The artist invited children to write messages using spray paint on the yellow ‘LostDog’ sculpture encouraging people to be more conscious about the environment. ‘LostDog Ma Long’ (2018) created for Bangkok Art Biennale is an enormous bull terrier covered in gold leaf that sits in front of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. This canine has lost his way and is in search for a path to happiness in the troubled world caused by species called humans.

ศิลปินชาวฝรั่งเศสเจ้าของผลงาน ‘LostDog’ งานศิลปะที่เดินทางไปในหลายๆ พื้นที่ในโลก (ทั้งตามเทศกาลศิลปะและพื้นที่สา ธารณะ) เพื่อสะท้อนทั้งประเด็นปัญหาที่เราในฐานะประชากรโลกมีร่วมกัน และชี้ให้เห็นถึงความเป็นมนุษย์ที่ตกหล่นหายไปในสังคมปัจุบัน ดังที่เห็นได้จาก ‘LostDog CO2’ ประติมากรรมสุนัขขนาดใหญ่ ที่ทำขึ้นจากพืชที่มีส่วนช่วยลดมลพิษในอากาศ กว่า 1,500 ต้น นอกจากนั้นศิลปินยังเชิญชวนเด็กๆ ในบริเวณมาร่วมกันพ่นสเปรย์ข้อความรณรงค์ให้มนุษย์หันมารักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมลงบน ‘LostDog’ สีเหลืองอีกตัวหนึ่งที่ตั้งอยู่ ข้างๆ กัน ใน ‘LostDog Ma Long’ (2018) ที่ศิลปิน ทำขึ้นสำหรับบางกอก อาร์ต เบียนนาเล่ ครั้งนี้จะ เป็นประติมากรรมหมาบูลด็อกตัวใหญ่ปิดทองที่นั่งอยู่หน้าทางเข้าโรงแรมแมนดาริน โอเรียนเต็ล หมาตัวนี้กำลังหาเส้นทางไปสู่ความสุข ท่ามกลางโลกที่วุ่นวายด้วยน้ำมือของเผ่าพันธุ์ที่ชื่อว่า ‘มนุษย์’
