Sunanta Phasomwong is a promising artist from Isaan, the northeastern region of Thailand, who recently graduated and is working as an art teacher at Ubon Rachathani Rajabhat University. Sunanta creates dark macabre sculptures that often reflect sorrow, frustration, and family relationships. Using black wire as the primary material. For Sunanta, art is a form of mental therapy. Her emotions are transformed into lines that swirl and overlap resulting shapes of human organs which seem strong but actually fragile and constantly changing. For her, the power of art unleashed can transform sorrow into happiness.

สุนันทา ผาสมวงค์ เป็นศิลปินจากภาคอีสานที่น่าจับตามอง ปัจจุบันเธอเป็นอาจารย์สอนศิลปะที่มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏอุบลราชธานี ผลงานของเธอบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของปัจเจก เพศสภาพ ความสัมพันธ์ในครอบครัว โดยเฉพาะเรื่องราวของความทุกข์ โดยตีความและแสดงออกมาในรูปแบบศิลปะจัดวางและประติมากรรมที่มีลวดเป็นวัสดุหลัก เธอมองว่าศิลปะเป็นเครื่องเยียวยาจิตใจ อารมณ์ความรู้สึกถูกถ่ายโอนเข้าไปในเส้นที่ม้วนและตัดขวางกันไปมาจนเกิดรูปทรงอวัยวะของมนุษย์ที่ภายนอกดูแข็งแรง แต่จริงๆ แล้วเปราะบางและเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่ตลอดเวลา สำหรับเธอนั้น ศิลปะมีพลังในการปลดเปลื้องความเศร้าและเปลี่ยนมันให้กลายเป็นความสุข
