Fiona Hall began her artistic career as a photographer before expanding her artistic field in painting, sculpture and installation. The use of everyday objects comments on both political and social issues including colonialism and atrocities caused against indigenous people. Hall became widely known for ‘Paradisus Terrestris,’ a series of sardine cans erotically inspired by the human erogenous zone or bodyparts.

For Bangkok Art Biennale, she creates ‘Forest Floor’ (2018) a shadow forest with dark secrets buried within understory. Skeletal parts painted on bottles strewn like leaves act as residue of conflicts and genocides.
